DRIP DRIVE: a nonprofit organization founded in 2022, aims to empower students through fashion by providing a unique clothing drive experience. This initiative transforms school gymnasiums into temporary shopping malls, offering students the opportunity to select outfits from name brands and high-end fashion designers.

About the Confidence Campaign.

Founded by Makayla Nash, a Restorative Practices Assistant, the DRIP DRIVE addresses the correlation between students' appearance confidence and behavioral issues. Nash leveraged her role to connect with students through fashion, realizing the positive impact it had on attendance, behavior, and self-esteem.

Boost students' confidence and self-esteem through access to clothing from prestigious fashion designers.

Increase overall attendance rates across different grade levels in participating schools.

Introduce Social Emotional Learning (SEL) skills to students through the lens of fashion and personal branding.

Decrease the number of behavior referrals in participating schools.

Entrepreneurial activities differ substantially depending on the type of organization.

  • Seven-week transformative development program for youth.

  • Students will be able to speak positively, identify brands, dress professionally, and understand emotional intelligence.

  • The drip drive itself has shown to improve confidence, raise self-esteem, increase attendance, and encourage positive behavior within students.

  • Once students have completed the series of workshops, students will be rewarded in a variety of brands that are driving the culture at the Drip Drive.

Program Summary

DRIP DRIVE served over 550 children, receiving 5,500+ donated items from renowned brands such as Jordan, Nike, Adidas, BAPE, Gucci, Christian Dior, and Fashion Nova.

  • At the end of this workshop, students will have learned and understood the power of words, while also being taught how to positively speak to others and themselves.

  • Students will be able to identify different brands and fashion designers who are currently driving the culture while also learning the importance of building a successful economic and social brand.

  • Students will learn how to professionally dress while also being able to identify appropriate clothing attire within different settings.

  • The students comfortable with emotions whether they’re good or bad.
